SDG Alignment: SDG 4 – Quality Education
Adjei Odame Rutherford’s childhood has been shaped by loss and struggle. His father passed away early, leaving behind a family that had to depend heavily on the resilience of his mother. Though surrounded by love, resources were scarce, and the odds of receiving quality education were slim.
Rutherford, brilliant but without financial support, risked his potential being overlooked. However, in 2024, the Adingelah Foundation stepped in. Through its Scholarship Intervention Programme, Rutherford gained full support for his education. This intervention did not only cover fees—it provided him with books, uniforms, and a stable learning environment that allowed him to concentrate fully on his academics.
Rutherford’s academic performance has kept him among the top of his class. Beyond grades, he a renewed sense of possibility, he now dreams of becoming a computer scientist, driven by a passion to use technology to solve problems and create opportunities for others.
